Resume

This project aims to strengthen safeguarding systems for Children in Conflict with the Law (CCL) and Circumstantial Children (CC) in Zambia, aligned with the Children’s Code Act and international standards. Ubumi Zambia will enhance its institutional capacity to deliver high-level safeguarding advocacy and interventions, supported by a tailored advocacy course and development of strategic training materials. A civil society alliance will be mobilised to coordinate safeguarding advocacy, supported through joint planning, capacity building, and structured engagement with all relevant duty bearers. Zambia Correctional Service will be supported to develop, adopt, and disseminate an institutional safeguarding policy for CCL and CC through inclusive consultations and formal processes. This will ensure sustainable change and improved protection for vulnerable children in the correctional system.
