This intervention provides one-time multi-purpose cash assistance (USD 145) to 530 highly vulnerable displaced Palestinian refugee families in Nahr El-Bared, North Lebanon. Targeting focuses on households living outside collective shelters, who are often underserved despite facing acute needs related to rent, food, and healthcare. Beneficiaries are identified through coordination with UNRWA and local grassroot organisation NISCVT using transparent vulnerability criteria. Cash assistance is selected as the most appropriate modality due to functioning markets and diverse household needs, enabling flexible and dignified use. The intervention builds on Taawon’s strong local presence and coordination with humanitarian actors, ensuring timely delivery. It aims to improve access to basic needs and reduce negative coping strategies, while maintaining accountability through monitoring, feedback mechanisms, and adherence to humanitarian principles.
