This rapid humanitarian intervention will provide urgent post-flood assistance to Indigenous families affected by the recent floods in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), Bangladesh. Following the disaster, vulnerable households are facing loss of homes and essential belongings, disrupted access to food and safe water, damaged sanitation facilities, and increased health and protection risks. With DERF support, the intervention will provide one-time MPCA support, emergency food support, drinking water storage tanks, hygiene kits, and essential household items and NFI to 500 flood affected Indigenous families covering approximately 2500 people. With previous experience in providing emergency humanitarian support for the victims of landslide in Rangamati in 2017, Arson attack on Tripura families in Lama, Bandarban in 2024, Kapaeeng Foundation with its strong networks and locally led response mechanisms, will help affected families stabilise safe and dignified lives.
