Play Handball Kenya (PHKe)

At Play Handball Kenya, we believe team sports can change lives. Since 2016, our non-profit organization has used handball to spark education, youth development, and social change. After launching Play Handball Kenya in 2016, we operated under Active Youth Empowerment Project and recently registered as Play Handball Kenya. Our mission is dual-focused: we cultivate the sustainable growth of handball while using the sport as a tool for personal and socio-economic development. Through the game, young people experience the power of team spirit and healthy competition. By working directly with schools and communities in different parts of Nairobi, Buruburu, Mathare and Machakos, we equip local schools and young coaches with skills through training to build sustainable, long-term capacity.
