Play Handball, (deres kenyanske afdeling, Play Handball Kenya)

Play Handball is a non-profit organisation dedicated to youth development and the promotion of handball as a team sport. Since 2013, we have used handball to ignite social change and education. PLAY HANDBALL started in 2013 in South Africa with the vision to unite the youth through sport without cultural, social, gender or racial boundaries. In 2014, the German office was established. Since 2016, PLAY HANBDALL runs activities in Kenya and established there a local office too. Since 2024 activities started in Tanzania. Since 2025, PLAY HANDBALL joined action with HTI Denmark and supports in partnership the Kenyan activities. PLAY HANDBALL envisages the use of handball as a tool for personal development of the individuals as well as socio-economic and community development in the broader context, while also ensuring the sustainable development of the sport. Through handball, we are able to give young people the opportunity to experience team spirit and healthy competition. We drive positive transformation by working directly with communities and partnering with grassroots organisations. Our approach supports schools and community organisations with knowledge, equipment, and volunteers, while building lasting capacity.
