Beena Cares Initiatives (BCI) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in Ghana. BCI is focused on implementing interventions that help youth and womens’ development, including economic development. BCI has experience in social work, as well as organising capacity building workshops for women, youth, communities, groups and individuals for their empowerment and development. BCI has members and volunteers that are experienced in social work, women empowerment, community mobilisation, governance, development and public health. HSI works to help achieve several of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 3 (Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages), SDGs 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). The board, management and some members of BCI has variously worked on national and international projects, including projects funded by the UNICEF. BCI has a 5-member Board and a secretariat headed by an experienced social worker and gender advocate.
