0 / 2000 words Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan (RRAA) started in the mid-1980es as a project office for the Norwegian Embassy Pakistan. The purpose was to provide assistance to Afghan refugees in various locations in Pakistan. From 1990, RRAA established itself as an independent organization with its own governance and management structure. It now has its HQ in Kabul with regional offices, one of them being the Western Region in Herat, with whom DAC ha partnership arrangement. RRAA is a well-established, non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization, founded in 1990 in Afghanistan. RRAA is registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan (registration #50) since 2005 and is a member of the Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief (ACBAR) and has active membership of WASH, NFI, Child Protection, Food Security, and Nutrition clusters. RRAA is a leading non-governmental organization with over 34 years of experience in implementing high-quality programs across multiple sectors, including rural livelihoods, WASH, local governance, Nutrition, Child Protection, and humanitarian response. Our mission is to provide innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions to complex challenges, particularly in underserved and vulnerable communities. We are fully equipped with the knowledge, expertise, and resources necessary to undertake the assignments, and our qualifications include a proven track record in delivering impactful interventions in Afghanistan. RRAA operates in 16 provinces of Afghanistan, implementing 25 active projects with a current workforce of 556 qualified and experienced staff, including 430 males and 128 females. This large and diverse team ensures that RRAA has the capability to efficiently mobilize, manage, and implement projects of substantial scale, even in the most challenging environments. The organization's core strength lies in its extensive local knowledge.
