Resume

The purpose of this intervention is to prevent loss of life and further deterioration among approximately 1,800 of the most vulnerable drought-affected people in Budbud, Gal-ad and Qarsooni Bari, Mudug Region. The intervention targets displaced pastoral households, female-headed families, children under five, pregnant and lactating women, older people and persons with disabilities whose coping capacities have been exhausted by the failure of the 2025 Deyr rains and the ongoing Jilaal dry season. Over four months, the intervention will provide life-saving food assistance, emergency water access and PSEAH awareness with complaint mechanisms to address acute hunger, dehydration and protection risks during the peak of the drought. The intervention aims to stabilise households, reduce harmful coping strategies and prevent avoidable suffering during the acute phase of the crisis.
