Resume

Cross Cultures has worked with local partners in South Sudan for eight years, developing strong decentralised grassroots and triple nexus-capacity around Open Fun Football Schools (OFFS) in six states. Experience has shown that local capacity has grown faster than the organisation needed to sustain and connect it. The project will therefore transform the existing Sport for All Association (SFA), currently rooted in Unity State, into a democratic and decentralised South Sudanese organisation with broader membership, representation and operational capacity. In parallel, SFA will build relationships and legitimacy with authorities, sports federations, cultural actors and civil society. Through 3 pilot Sport for All festivals, these actors will jointly explore and demonstrate what a broader platform can achieve in practice. The project will prepare SFA to become a credible, locally owned partner for a future nationwide Sport for All programme.
