Resume

The programme is implemented by Cross Cultures and the Tunisian Federation of Sport for All (FTSPT) to strengthen young women’s leadership in Tunisian civil society. Building on FTSPT’s nationwide network of associations, the programme supports 60 youth leaders and 180 volunteers, primarily young women in NEET. The programme combines sport activities for children with democratic dialogue inspired by Denmark’s Youth Democracy Festival. In these dialogue caravans, young women facilitate activities on the pitch while convening civil society actors and public institutions in dialogue spaces around it. Through this, young women develop relational leadership by mobilising actors, building trust and connecting communities and institutions, generating new collaborations and initiatives. At the same time, the programme supports FTSPT in developing a Youth House incubator model as a social learning space where youths move from participation to recognised leadership roles in civil society.
