Fédération Tunisienne du Sports Pour Tous - Tunisian Federation of Sport for All

The Fédération Tunisienne du Sport Pour Tous (FTSPT) is a national civil society organisation dedicated to promoting inclusive access to sport as a tool for social development, democratic participation, and community resilience. Established to advance the “Sport for All” movement in Tunisia, FTSPT works to ensure that sport contributes to social cohesion, gender equality, and active citizenship, particularly among children and young people in vulnerable contexts. FTSPT operates through a network of 300 affiliated local Sport-for-All associations across urban, semi-urban, and rural areas. The federation combines democratic governance through an elected Board with a small professional administration responsible for programme coordination, financial management, and accountability. This structure enables both grassroots ownership and institutional reliability. Over the past years, FTSPT has increasingly positioned sport as a development methodology. Its primary activities include youth leadership training, non-formal education programmes, community-based sport initiatives, and capacity building of local associations. Special emphasis is placed on empowering young people - especially young women and NEET youth - by strengthening their organisational, civic, and socio-professional skills. FTSPT collaborates with public institutions, municipalities, civil society organisations, and international partners to promote inclusive participation and sustainable local engagement. Through this approach, the federation contributes to strengthening civil society structures and enhancing young people’s ability to act as active rights-holders and contributors to their communities.
