Resume

The Danish House in Palestine and Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center (KSCC) join forces to strengthen artistic freedom and cultural resilience in oPt, aligning with SDG 16.10 (fundamental freedoms). This partnership merges DHIP’s cross-cultural networks with KSCC’s grassroots leadership to: 1) empower emerging artists as agents of change, 2) enhance KSCC’s capacity as a civil society anchor, and 3) foster community-owned cultural platforms. Through collaborative activities, the project will create sustainable platforms for artistic resistance, including: Two solo exhibitions spotlighting emerging Palestinian artists, a collective exhibition “Experiments in Archival Commons”, which reimagines and recreates KSCC’s archive as a shared space of memory, and two open calls transforming KSCC’s Sirdab into a vibrant hub of artistic exchange. Together, we advance DHIP’s mission to sustain Palestinian CSOs in arts/culture while demonstrating how art defends fundamental freedoms under occupation.
