Empowering New Paths

Regina Pacis Foundation is a Moldovan non-governmental, non-profit and non-religious organisation established in 2001. For over 25 years, the Foundation has developed programmes addressing the needs of vulnerable children and families, young people, older people and other people facing social and economic exclusion. Its work combines direct social services with case management, psychosocial support, education and vocational development, assisted living, community-based assistance and cooperation with public institutions. The Foundation operates services for children at risk, young people transitioning to independent life, older persons and vulnerable communities. Regina Pacis has also worked in juvenile justice since 2012, supporting minors and young people in conflict with the law through psychological assistance, vocational training, life-skills development, preparation for release and post-detention reintegration. Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Foundation implemented a substantial humanitarian and social response for Ukrainian refugees in Moldova from 2022 to 2026. While large-scale emergency assistance was gradually phased out in 2026, Regina Pacis continues to respond to specific protection and inclusion needs of highly vulnerable refugees where necessary. Alongside direct services, the Foundation promotes stronger social protection mechanisms through partnerships, institutional cooperation and advocacy.
