Changing Lives in Innovative Partnerships (CLIP) formerly called Community Life Improvement programme (CLIP) is a Non-Governmental Organisation. It started as a rural development programme with the aim to increase self-help capacity and improved living conditions for the populations in rural communities in the Yendi, Gushegu and Karaga Districts in the Northern Region of Ghana. Recognizing that education and livelihoods are closely linked, CLIP was founded to promote children's education, particularly that of girls, while simultaneously strengthening household livelihoods to reduce the economic pressures that kept children out of school. Over the years, the organization has evolved from a localized rural development programme into a dynamic development and humanitarian organization operating across the five northern regions of Ghana. CLIP's mission is to empower people to influence and drive their own socio-economic development within a sustainable environment. The organization envisions a society free from hunger, where communities possess the skills, opportunities, and resilience needed to improve their livelihoods and live in peace and dignity. To achieve this mission, CLIP designs and implements integrated programmes across five interrelated thematic areas: - Climate Resilience, Environment and Natural Resource Governance - Sustainable Food Systems, Livelihoods and Economic Development - Agro-pastoralism, Migration Management and Peace building - Humanitarian Assistance and Crisis Management - Digital Solutions and Evidence-Based Innovation Today, CLIP continues to work in close partnership with government institutions, traditional authorities, civil society organizations, development partners, and local communities to deliver innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions that improve livelihoods, strengthen resilience, promote peaceful coexistence, and contribute to equitable development across Northern Ghana.
